Back to woodworking....: Itsik Cohen's Toy shop – part 1

While in Israel last August, I had a chance to visit my friend Itsik (nickname for Isaac) Cohen’s shop on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Itsik in a self taught woodworker and practically a jack of all trades: builder, welder. .... you name it. He like to collect scraps, or left over wood from nearby woodshops and make cleaver and beautiful toys out of them.

Utilizing cut-offs is environmentally and economically wise. I will show you few of his toys in the next blog entries.. I am sure you will like what you’ll see, plus it will give you great ideas for toy designs, which you can make as gifts in advent of the Holidays season.
